Cleaning the front Grill surround

A number of dead flies on the silver front grill surround have left some "staining" marks after washing which don't seem to want to come off. Anyone else had this problem and what can I use to remove the stains?

I used Autoglym bumper and trim [ i will get correct name ] cleaner.It is funny material to clean. I found the trim just under the boot lid edge is the same material, and hard to clean perfectly. Regards, SIMON.

Simon you are right in that it is a funny material to clean. Since I've not had mine that long I've not cleaned it that many times yet.

I hope there is something to help clean it perfectly. If the stains fail to come out I can feel a warranty claim coming on....................

i reckon if your arse was forced through your head at about 70mph you would leave a stain...i thinks its called brushed aluminium..try using a very soft toothbrush and some fairy or some T-cut..but be gentle with it..it,ll scratch easily..then polish it..

Then finish it with "Turtle Wax Gloss Guard" and it will stay gleeming.

Its all bloody painted plastic even the mirrors so go easy. I'd try Safe Cut that's not too abrasive.
