Audi are coming

Post by SimonH » Tue Jul 24, 2007 8:48 pm

Dived into Audi Preston this afternoon, as i havent been for a while. What can i say, i was greeted with a black R8 in the showroom, a blue R8 pootling past the showroom, a red RS4 avant, a grey S5, a blue S3 and a host of other delicious cars outside.I get the impression that Audi are trying/becoming a major player in the performance market, with a very long list of models to choose from.I hadnt even heard of Audi last year.I dont think the performance car enthusiast has had it so good, with so much to choose from before.we pays our money and we takes our choice, but i think its a good thing that Audi, BMW,Porsche and Mercedes are all trying to outdo each other, as its the customer who benefits from an all improved line up from all the manufacturers, regards, SIMON. :D :)

Simon, you'd never heard of Audi until last year?? Have you been asleep for a very long time ;)

Tis indead great news that Audi are raising their game & the new RS6 & RS5 will raise the bar in their respective markets even further.

As an aside, Preston Audi are my local dealer & have supplied my last 6 Audi's. Also the dealer at whom i'm sat in pole position for the upcoming RS6 & RS5.

Paul,
Was being a bit tongue in cheek regarding not knowing Audi :).It really dawned on me when entering the showroom yesterday that Audi have really stepped up to the plate these days. They really do have a cracking line up for all tastes and pockets.Take the S5, as soon as i saw the car, i thought, that looks great and instantly invisidged what the RS5 would look like. Can you say the same for the BMW 3 series?.The R8 is something else,it is a beautiful vehicle.I dont know if i would drive it, or put it on top of my telly, its a work of art.I stiil miss my M5 performance in a straight line, but with the new breed of Audis to come, RS5/RS6, i am sure that will right itself. Its taken owning one, to really appreciate just how good, and how well made they are.The quality is far better than i first anticipated, it really is.At the moment im an Audi convert, and looking forward to the exciting models to come.Regards, SIMON. :D
