Don't think it is out yet but there has been talk on pistonheads from people who know the Evo reviewers who apparently have swayed towards the M3. Something about finding themselves wanting to get in the M3 (rather than RS4) for the journey back from the continent. Probably to do with the reviewers being too fat to fit in the bucket seats for long periods of timejackwood wrote:When was EVO out?W8PMC wrote:The EVO article sways the other way & puts the new M3 ahead.
Will be interested to hear the results of actual UK road head to head testing.

not sure about Autocar but Evo did this comparison (with a C53 AMG Merc)and the CS won by the narrowest of margins. It was the usual high quality piece of journalism that beared no comparison to driving patterns of 90% of drivers and certainly me. They said the RS4 looked better, sounded better, went better, had a better interior but that at 10/10ths on a deserted Welsh hill road the CS was slightly the sweeter handling.marin wrote:haha! you guys love the review. Yes is a good review but it doesnt make sense logically. I think you forget that they wrote previously that the e46 M3 CS was better than the RS4... Have BMW gone a step back with the E92 M3? I think not. Another dodgy review. Dont you think so?
Not criticising the review but I do laugh when people rely on them to justify their purchase when they are written by writers who hand the keys back after two days of horsing about in Wales, rather than actually buy the car and live with it day to day. Will treat the Autocar RS4 win with the same scepticism but its good to see a positive result for Audi over an M car especially from the usual pro-BMW Autocar.
Good for pub talk (if you have an M3) but as I don't live in Wales and rarely if ever drive at 10/10ths on the public road the RS4 is the better car than the M3 for me 100% of the time.
Also note the the RS4 saloon was up against the M3 coupe not the M3 saloon (which will look worse)
