A BIG thankyou to Doug!

Post by Harper--D » Fri Jul 13, 2007 8:50 pm

You must all be fed up with hearing what a brilliant job MRC do, so now for something completely different!

As some of you will know (or have seen on this forum), I have been lucky enough to have done my work experience at MRC while my mates have been bored to tears with filing, photocopying, and making tea!

I have spent the last 2 weeks working with the master and have enjoyed every minute.

I would just like to say Thank you Doug for the methods you have taught me and it feels good to actually be treated like an adult rather than be treated like a piece of :dung: at school.

Cheers!!
David.

Well done, nice to see you ( and Doug) yesterday.

I did my work experience at a Vauxhall Garage. I'm SO jealous! ;)

It was in the days of Manta's so not all bad, though maybe I shouldn't say it too loud :sekret:

Nice one David (and Doug of course).

I had a good two weeks work experience whilst at school too and it works a lot better than ending up being somewhere you you don't much like.

I ended up in the same profession as I that I did my WE in, so fingers crossed if that's what you want.

Congratulations on a successful work experience David  No doubt you enjoyed it.

And now that you've spent a couple of weeks at MRC can you please confirm something for all of us... does Doug ever answer the phone??? I know there's a picture on the forum somewhere of Doug with a phone in his hand... but there are also a lot of GREAT Photoshoppers in here too ;)

I member my work experience. I had the bestest placement - "working" for my mates dad. Didn't have to turn up for a single days work... except for the day the teacher was coming in to do an assessment ;)

Yes, thanks for putting up with him for 2 weeks Doug

He's thoroughly enjoyed himself, still full of it, and really did learn a lot. I cant think of a better work experience for a kid as obsessed with Audis as his Dad...!

Thanks again, much appreciated :beerchug:

He correctly diagnosed a nipped o-ring when my injector started going fizz. I was impressed with David's attention to detail. I think you may have raised a perfectionist there Clive.

Yes - I feel i must add that, for a chap as young as David is, he displays a great deal of maturity, an excellent work ethic, and boundless enthusiasm. No surly, foul-mouthed ASBO kid there. A credit to his family... (must be something to do with being the son of the Earl of Wakefield)

Well done David.
