can anyone help me i need to fit a removable tow bar to my car for my sons quad 2001 rs4 avant

Have no experience of removable tow bars, have used Towsure and Towsecure in the past but I think they only do fixed tow bars. The price you quote does not sound surprising alhough it is nevertheless disappointing.
