I got one!

Post by tombs » Wed Jul 11, 2007 8:57 pm

As the post says i got one...Daytona Grey Avant, the previous owner had really looked after it with no expense spared it seems. Has most of the extras, I’m one very pleased bunny!

I’d like to thank my mate S4woody for helping me when viewing and being a taxi (literally!) whilst searching for the right one and Grizz for some very very good advice. Also Allblack who pmd with the previous owner of my RS6 contact details and lastly (what is this the Oscars? :P ) RS246.com for helping sell my previous cars and in a way finding the beast I own now.
Cheers

Congratulations Tom

I'm sure the wait for the right car was well worth it, but glad to see you got there in the end...I knew you would.

Congratulations. I'm glad you're sorted after nipping in and buying one you thought might be for you before you saw it.

Thanks Guys, Spec:

RS6 Avant, Daytona Grey (Nov 02), 51000 miles.
Carbon Inlays with Silver leather
Over the standard bits:
ISOFIX
Storage Net (x2 for some reason)
Slide & Tilt electric Sunroof
Electrically Adjustable Steering wheel
Folding heated mirrors
TV function

Hardwired Road Angel...so my snooper is up for sale.

Eveything else I think is standard on the RS6, its in very good condition the previous owner had the DRC done in March of this year (3 shocks and 1 valve) and the other shock done in April of last year. Having spoken to Audi these parts are covered for 2 years and the warranty goes with the car. I'm takin out an extra warranty though with Lloyds to cover the gear box...just in case!
The previouse owner had a kept everything very tidy in a folder....I'll get some pics sorted soon.

Oh...and I forgot to add the all important RS246.com sticker!!

Sorry to break in on this thread but I can't work out how to post at this stage and just need a quick question answered. I have been looking for a while and the VIN plate doesn't seem to be a plate but a sticker and seems to be in 2 different colours, either Black or Silver. Also the BCY number on the sticker seems to be BCY1417, is this not the engine number as according to HPI/V5 this should be another BCY number but only located on the block itself. ANY HELP IS MASSIVELY APPRECIATED as I am about to part with my hard earned cash and just want to make sure I'm getting the right thing. Everything else in terms of service history and Vin numbers etc all checks out, just this niggling sticker colour/engine number question.

Massive thanks in advance.
