Huh! and there's me slating this car and I can't even get the registration number right...! :bash:
So actually, there was a positive point about the car - the number plate was accurately described...! Well done, Russel! :knob:

I've sent him a message to ask him where to send the bill for our wasted trip, but oddly enough he hasn't replied yet...

did you actually waste any battery power by vag-comming it, just wondered if there was any hidden faults to catch an unsuspecting buyer out

Tut tut Clive ... have you learned nothing from your last post of a similar nature? Such vitriol will not be tolerated ... are you not aware that posting your helpful and informative opinion on this forum could engender legal proceedings against you, and possibly even the web site itself??

We should send him a text- "Congratulations your car has been chosen to feature on rs246.com & Audi-sport.net"

No we didn't even bother getting VAG-COM out, we didn't wanna waste anymore time athough we had discussed that maybe we should have, just to see what it might have showed us.

The car is still for sale

The owner is telling prospective buyers that the car was bid up to £6,100 last week but the person who came to buy it was a "perfectionist" and didn't like the "small scuff" on the rear bumper and the "slightly different colour" bonnet

He also mentioned that the car no longer has an MOT as it failed on the emissions test (the exhaust, or at least the backbox, is totally stock)

all part of the ownership process, some good info on here. when you find a car you want to look at it might be worth posting and see if you can get a local member to go with you
