IAA- Still interested?

Post by Conti » Fri Jun 27, 2003 9:37 pm

Hi mates ,
maybe you know I've already written something about this theme! But it wasn't read much because of the Le Mans meet.

So are there still any persons in terested to come to Germany and visit IAA Frankfurt? We could compare it with a track day to the ring, if you want?

So please write if you want to come (or not come ) that we can see how many of you want to come and who wants what!

Hope to meet you soon!

Sorry, but I didn't know that you don't know!
So here is a link where you can get information: IAA Frankfurt.
I thought you know this. It's very popular!

I'm still up for going but might fly and tie the trip in with staying with friends in Frankfurt. I think I'm going to take my car off the road for a while to do my modifications. Whatever I do with the car I won't be taking it around the track in September in Germany but will probably go to IAA.

*[censored]*! JR, there will be no IAA next year! It is takes place only every 2 years!
So I celebrate IAA alone!

IAA is the Frankfurt motorshow, where typically a number of world firsts are presented. REading the car mags, there is some talk that Audi could present
- the RSR (remember, the ultimate rocket, it's basically a slightly smoothened Lambo Gallardo)
- an S4 cabrio
- prototypes/new models of the A3 family (e.g., a SUV)

And of course other manufacturers will unveil their goodies too.

I'm still planning on coming on the 1st Saturday.

RS4-ever

- RS4 B5, 2001, avus, stock but basically all options (former mileage eater, now leisure usage only)
- A4 3.0 Avant, 2002, silver (current mileage eater)
- Z3 3.0 roadster, 2003, silver (missus car)

I've heard from Audi UK that there will be a "big" announcement but I don't know what.

Nice!
I really hope there will be a RSR. (A testdrive with Aiello would be nice! ) There will be the S4 Cabriot for sure as an enemie to the M3 Cabrio. I don't think they'll present a new RS3 , but maybe a new S3 . And I really really want to see a new Audi RS4! (If I'll see, I'll upload the pictures ASAP! ).

Seems to me as the IAA will be great this year! An Audi-Year!

I was in Germany at the weekend - the German mags are saying that the RSR production will be announced.

Hi Riz

Well tjc's S3 had its first service yesterday and the salesman was trying to interest him an RS3. tjc said salesman showed him some paperwork which was talking about an S3 in 2004 (?) but salesman said it meant an RS3. Salesman didn't have any other info about car but said they'd already taken 1/2 a dozen deposits. He said he'd let tjc know when there was any more news.

Yep pretty much the same news from most dealers..... "oh yes sir the RS3 is going to be a cracker" no news of a S3 though..... as time goes on it really does seem that their wont be a S3 replacement...... doesnt really bother me...... the RS cars are the performance model`s now
