Hello

Post by Amanda » Tue Jul 01, 2003 6:56 pm

Just thought I would pop up and say hello to everyone on the best forum to be on . I have been coming onto the forum for some time now and I thought it was time I registered, also some gentle pushing from some people I know that are regulars on this forum already.
So look forward to talking to you all.

Well thank you for you warm greeting. I have added a bit more detail to my profile. I do have a vehicle but I know enough about cars that would set me apart from most girlies! What makes you guys so interesting for one thing is your cars I have driven most of the vehicles that are mentioned here and I like to learn new things and you lot seem to be a nice bunch. So I look forward to participating in your threads.

Mmm S3s are very nice is it the 210bhp or the 225bhp version? I think their are much better than the Audi TT and their handle a lot better than a TT do. I have to admit that their are one of my favorite cars!

Mine is one of the last 210bhp versions, but i can hardly tell the difference between my car and a 225bhp except i could only get 152mph, in the TT it got 157mph I sometimes still cant think how on earth i could own one......... never really thought about owning one as it was deemed `out of my range`, its a stunning little car and i must say it does handle better than the TT in all respects! mines is a 2002 model with the revised suspension etc etc and i think the colour and alloys really make it stand out
Well happy

The later ones with the uprated suspension do feel a lot nicer than the first of the 210bhp. The early ones even though their were of a "S" class still felt like the were over steering. But Audi did seem to sort it out on the later models. The 225bhp S3 though handles and drives a lot better than the early 225bhp TTs.
I take it your S3 is in the Mosarno red? If that is the correct name for it? Well that is one of the better colours for the S3 and a lot rarer as most S3s you see are wither silver or black. Which is still ok, but the red is more of a sporty colour. Listen to be very girlie talking about colours!!! Anyway, with regards to alloys your ones do look nice what type are their as I can not make it out from the picture? But may I add the speed of 152mph is excellant and sometime I think their are designed to be driven and perform better at the more higher speeds than pottering around town.

Hi Bird, how you doing

You certainly know you're stuff - wonder if you could help? Looking for that extra 15bhp and can't decide between flay-rod or sprocket, what do you think?

.......still want to die peacefully in my sleep, just like my grandfather.........
