I think this is actually a differentiator - i.e. supplies a modified differentiated signal that amplifies the rate of change of the signal from the potentiometer to the ecu producing more throttle "attack" ...
Anyway - I'll ask later about whether a re-map can do this (I'm not convinced it can though because the differentiator actually modifies the rate-of-change of the output signal from the potentiometer in a disproportianate fashion)

Great, just when you answer next keep it a bit more simple please!

Ok - spoke to Doug@MRC re: this subject.
The throttle map parameters are not adjusted in the ecu re-map process (well not with an MRC re-map at any rate - can't comment on other "tuna's")
However; they can be if you so wish ... but are not as a matter of course. I asked if i could have a more aggressive throttle response coded in and was told it's possible.
He was pretty busy today and I was most concerned with getting my horns fixed (both were f*cked) so didn't dwell on it - but at the earliest opportunity i'll explore this avenue further...
Bottom line I guess is whether the throttle map parameters on the ecu can be tweaked to match, or better, the functionality of the Sprint Booster signal amp/differentiator... but i may just speak to APS and try the 30-day trial anyway (that is if it's applicable to a modified B5 S4) ... i suppose i've got nothing to lose provided they stick to their money-back guarantee offer ....

Interesting, all very interesting...

Are you going to try out the Sprint Booster?

I'm going to call APS today and have a chat with them ... it may not even be applicable to the B5 S4, but if it is I think I might give it the 30 day trial - should be enough time to see whether (a) the device gives a continually noticable benefit (in case the ecu "adapts" to the new throttle signal over time, and any throttle response improvement becomes negated), and (b) to see if there's any detrimental effect to the fuel economy ...

Philip Walker also does these I think.
