I handed my keys over to a Subaru driver yesterday - He was suitably impressed with the "double the hp of my Subaru", and the Ferrari was the red flag to the bull as we proceeded to take the long way back home!!

End of the day we all have a passion, and it wouldn't be as much fun if we didn't get to share it.

Lets face it - there are loads of drivers of many marques out there who cannot stand being being overtaken by an Audi - let alone an Audi Estate!! Just goes to show how small their brains really are.

The cop that pulled me over for exceeding the designated speed on the Queens highway showed incredible "respect" for my car, and in a chat afterwards mentioned that they have big problems with scooby drivers. Nuf said innit (or sumfink like dat).

Do you folks reckon that Subaru & Mitsubishi drivers (more than any other car brand / type) think they are the fastest things on the road ?

David - do they think?

Honestly, I reckon many of them don't know what these beasts are - they know a fast car by it's shape - they've seen the pretty pictures before they've read their Beano's.

However, to balance things up a bit - a scooby owner came up to me in a filling station with a quizzical look on his face and started asking about my car. He asked about the power and was gobsmacked when told....he left full of admiration for the car and seemed to be telling his mates (*) in the scooby all about the red Audi Estate car.

* - sorry should that be m8's?

Could I please ask that you think twice about posting derogatory comments about other car make owners. I realise it is a bit of fun, but if this goes beyond our comfort zone, we will have no choice but to remove the thread. I don't want a forum war.

Please be respectful of others.

Thanks,

which post are you referring to Phil?

Can't see a problem or have you got your crystal ball out today ;)

Had an Impreza for 2 yrs and loved it, sold it due to a few reasons.

1 engine went bang and cost a lot to repair
2 Other owners were giving them a bad name.
3 Getting to common on the road
4 Chavy 17 year olds were driving the early models.
5 they're only quick to 60 mph ;)

Still, I'd own another one if i found one i liked, or an evo :D (don't think it will happen though)

He gets banned every so often but he has got some other user names now till his Audilover becomes live.

I'm not trying to insult or upset rally special owners, I just wondered what other people have observed. I guess it can amount to the same thing depending on how you look at it though :)

I had this the other day, I over took an 1.6 A3 on a wide road who deliberately tried to do a Jason Plato move to stop me ...

I really could not understand his move

i have no idea, you lost me after the "@shineydave" bit, lol

back on topic though (very tenuously). on the way to Edinburgh i had a burgundy 205 with lexus lights having a go, probably because, like him i was wearing a baseball cap, the difference being mine said RS246 on it. played with him for a bit then S4'd him big style, prolly thought it was just another 1.8T with a sticker on the boot.
