996 turbo owners beware

After the failure of my top mounts, best check that yours are fully intact. Porsche claim they are wear and tear items, yet there have been no recorded incidents of them failing... work it out. :roll:

unfortuneately not, dealer made sure the car was stripped in less than an hour, once they knew I was on my way with a camera. Have the old mounting, which will be inspected and then returned to Porsche for their tech bods to look at. The metal sleeve should be bonded to the inside of the rubber, as you can see, it is not any longer. And yes, I did get both sides replaced.....
