Hesitation Between 3 and 4 RPM
Hesitation Between 3 and 4 RPM
My car hesitates between 3 and 4 RPM in all the gears and when in 6 at around 170 km per hour it goes like if you realease and press the throtle.
I have new DV's new MAF, new n75 and the problem is the same.
VAG COM dont detect any foult code.
I tested the exaust temperature sensors and they are also ok.
The car also wast a lot of petrol, around 18L per 100km what i think its a lot for a normal road driving.
Could it be the lambda probes?
Please, any help will be apreciated.
P.S: Excuse my bad English, i am from Portugal.

RE: Hesitation Between 3 and 4 RPM
Have you replaced your spark plus recently - they need replacing at least every 30tkm on an RS4.
The other thing to check is for a major boost leak - have you tried logging block 115 (requested and actual boost)?

Scroll down and see another thread with a similar name and take a look
Mine had same problem and it turned out to be the recirc dump valves and a slight boost leak,
Where are you based?

Wouild have thought that Lamda would have shown up on the VAG COM and any EGT problem too.
Have you had the car checked for any boost leaks? That would and could cause this problem
From the other thread too
"Evening,New to the site but not new to audi.Have been an audi technician for 15 years, master technician for 4 years,ATA Mastertech.Have seen lots of s4/rs4 in that time. The symptom being described i spent some time investigating,of course all the parts previously mensioned can/do cause running problems but their is a one way valve situated on the vac supply hose to the diverter valve solenoid of which i have replaced half a dozen with 100% repair success. The one way valve (intermittantly in most cases) fails and allows boost pressure to route to the diverter solenoid causing a stutter on light throttle@2000/3000 ish rpm."
"Hi the valve is located on the right side of the engine at the back, you will need to remove the right plastic/carbon fibre cover.you will then see the solenoid valve for the dvs.their is only one pipe it connects to the intake manifold, travels forwards close to the injectors on the right bank as you look at the engine, tucks behind the cambelt cover and connects to a vac bowl by the power steering resevoir, not sure on cost find out tommorowand let you know."
And
"Got the part numbers if anyone is interested 078 145 733 E for the ASJ engine,078 145 733G for the AZR engine you will also need half a dozen clips N 102 334 01 prices are 34.00 and 17.00 respectively for the hoses and the clips are pence each.Quite a busy hose with 4 connections on it hence the clips."
Let us know how you get on!
