Ok, perhaps someone can tell me how (using VAG-COM or otherwise) to detect if my RS6 is stock or tuned? (aside from rolling roading it, or logging torque etc).
I know the remaps are supposed to be "undetectable", but I guess that is only when Audi aren't actually looking for it.

Remapping - checking to see if you are actually legal!?!
RE: Remapping - checking to see if you are actually legal!?!
I think you need to connect up your VAG-COM and do a power run in 4th gear, then by checking back through the data you can see how much air the MAF sensors are flowing....from this you should be able to tell if it is stock or remaped. However you will need someone with more knowledge than me to let you know what your readings indicate.

Yep, I'm sure there will be threads in the RS6 forum stating what air the car should be flowing, standard & re-mapped.Tweaky wrote:I think you need to connect up your VAG-COM and do a power run in 4th gear, then by checking back through the data you can see how much air the MAF sensors are flowing....from this you should be able to tell if it is stock or remaped. Regarding detection of remaps, my own view is that dealers can see them if they choose to look. They choose to look based on what faults cars are presented with and who you know
