Lets keep things simple.

What was the original exhaust please?

It being 2.5 inch, I assume its not a standard Audi system, neither an S4 Milltek, as they are both smaller bore than 2.5 inch.

Unless its just the tubing thats 2.5 inch and its been mated to the standard audi exhaust. Which is what youve probably done.

the standard audi exhaust system uses 2.5" tubing down the full length of the car. the only bit thats smaller are the tips at the very end of the system as the come out of the back box. if u watch the vid agen u can see the tube that joins the other tube coming from the mid section. i have used a Y piece towards the end to create the twin pipes that u c from the bak.

ok thanks

I forgot the standard audi is a 2.5 inch pipe. Its a single 2.5 inch pipe then.

Its the RS4 Milltek that has a twin 2.5 inch pipe.

I understand what youve done then. I was under the impression for a while that the standard Audi exhaust was the same as the Milltek dual but with 2 pipes of smaller bore. Just goes to show how long ive not seen a normal S4 setup.

Its a nice setup. Sounds awesome.

Flippin 'eck dude that sounds awsome! would a car with it's pre-cat's intact sound similar to that or do the gutted pre-cats make a lot of difference?

Top marks Hobson :) .... and when can you do mine for me! :P

cheers phil,
i am going to sell the exhausts for £200, which as far as i can see is cheaper than any other backbox system available.
with it been a straight through pipe with no box this means no restrictions so my thinking is it has to perform better than any other :D

Good work Hobson!
Sounds like a plan to me. :)
However i would like a bit of reasurance that tha car is not going to end up being TOO loud.
I think shinydave's coments on a db reading are worth investigating as this is an everyday driver for me and i don't really want to sound like some chav in a motor that's just sailed through Halfrauds and picked up the latest cherry bomb pipe.
