Does it include the tunnel crossing as well Scotty ? if so, that's cheap IMO. Even cheap beer adds up over 4 days ;)

Nope but that's only £50 per person. I hope that some cheap French beer will alos help subsidise it ;)

I'll be going again this year but with my newly acquired B5 RS4 rather than a range of dull company cars. Staying at Houx. Just a tip for new visitors to the race, beware the French speed traps on the way down. They can even have them on the dual carriageway between Calais and Boulogne. The journey is pretty staightforward these days with 95% of it motorway but good luck finding your way through Rouen.

Hi Paul,

I'll keep my eye out for you. When are you travelling and what colour is your car? I've decided to try out Maison Blanche this year rather than Houx. Just have to do without the electric hook-up.

Hi Jarv

It's an Avus with tinted glass (is that called an optic pack or something similar?). I'll probably arrive around early PM on Friday, then we leave straight after the race to stop at a chateau on the way back.

Hi Paul,

Quality, another avus one. I may be wrong, but I think the black optic pack meant the roof rails, woindow trim and I believe tail-pipes were black. Not sure about the tints though.

Enjoy the race.

My roof rails, window trim, door mirrors and exhaust pipes are all silver, only the glass is darkened. Maybe I have not got the name right.

Mind you don't trip over too many Porsches in Maison Blanche.

P.S. I can't believe the world's greatest motor race is not receiving more attention. Maybe I can, it's the same every year the Mercedes don't try to fly.

Regards Paul

I'm in zone D as well, I'll keep my eye out for your 'dusty' white F registered soft top.

Rain forecast for Wednesday and Thursday. Hopefully will not require the Hiltigun for the tent pegs this year.
