I was the same, well, not so much I did not like them, I just never noticed them, never considered them as an option for me.

Here is a nice example I use, when I took it for a test drive it took me 4 braking attempts to find the limit, ie, get them to lock ... I could not believe a car could stop that quick!

Been in one. Felt like I was a sardine in a can.

Maybe in the future. For now it's going to be the S4 that gets used. Though I think I'll want something with a roof. Maybe an Exige?

You have to drive one first, some of the bike engined Westfields are well worth a look, for the reasons suggested above, a perfect track day tool. fairly cheap to run with little or no loss in value.

You would not run the London marathon in your slippers would you?

These cars have done all the depreciateing they'll ever do and youll just squeeze the kids in. I'd buy a bulit proof warranty though!
