awesome... this is going to be a great day. I am not going to bother with the BP 102, although it is quite tempting. I am probably going to turn up with 1/2 a tank ish of Optimax. If my times are crap I will go find some 102 lol - where is the closest one to MK?

The Newport Pagnell one is where I was going to head for, not far off the A509 having come from the South over the M1.

I don't expect anyone will get any timing advance on it, but you can be fairly sure you won't be getting any <beep> also I guess.

See you there guys.

Top day out! Loadsa fun ...

Some truly outrageous drag cars there; i'm sure one of them has shattered my right ear drum ... holy <beep> they are f*cking LOUD! and doing 1/4's in 6.1 seconds is ludicrous ... :biggrin2:

Great turn out from the S4 boys - and some great performances too; congrats to Graham for doing the 1/4 in exactly the same time as a B7 RS4  and to DavidT for keeping up with ZeroK ... nice work!

I got lost 3 f*cking times on the way there ... but only once on the way back

Good to put some faces to names and see some previously-met forum members.

All in all: 10/10

Yeah awesome day out guys... a shame DavidT jumped the line on our run as it would have been interesting to see what time he posted. Having watched the vid clip I seemed to stay stationary for about 1/2 a second (while Dave jumped the line :P ) then I bounce off the limiter - DOH!! David certainly has his launch down to a "T"I am sure there is an 11 hiding in my car somewhere...

Next maybe change seats for lighter ones, run BP 102 (as Dave was today *cough* ) and a light weight single mass flywheel for that little bit extra. 11.9 next time :P

Nice vid matey, thanks for posting that and so quickly as well :)

Ace day out, weather much warmer that anyone expected I think

Lots of folks there off here and tyresmoke. Great to meet up with everyone. Most enjoyable.

As others have said, there were some awesome machines testing. Shame the delayed our runs to much through the day :( Otherwise it was fairly quite I thought.

I bettered my 13.1 from last time with 13.0, then 12.8, then no time against Leon. No idea what I did wrong, time slip says run aborted. The cars were close though, he pulled a car’s length by then end, then 12.48. The last one was 13.3 because I forgot to switch he ESP off  Makes a difference when you drop the clutch at 5k :bash:

I videoed the fastest one so I’ll try to post that on youtube later.

Thanks everyone. Here’s to the next meet, probably Germany :nodder:

An excellent day out. Great turn out, good to see everyone again and a few new faces too.

Very pleased with my 13.7 which turned out to be very respectable. Beat a 350BHP new shape scooby on the same run as me and didn't see a B7 RS4 or E46 M3 get a better time, other than a 13.5 from the CSL with us.

Oh yes, too busy defending DavidT's attempt to take me that I forgot to mention my times. They were as follows:

Run 1:

60ft - 1.8538
1/8 - 8.1487@90.36
12.5027@113.38

Run 2:

60ft - 1.9261
1/8 - 8.2293@91.76
12.5939@114.84

Run 3:

Bogged badly on the start - although it looked impressive, only managed a 12.8149

********

Run 4:

An unfortunate start where I lost traction completely and then bounced off the limiter in 1st - the pressure was on - Dave was next to me :P. None the less the best result of the day

60ft - 1.9310
1/8 - 8.151@92.74
1/4 - 12.424@115.06

I am sure with practice I could get my 60ft times down to 1.5 or less... if I did I would crack 11's for sure!

A couple pics taken by the POD official photo crew...

Unfortunately it makes the yellow look quite light and washed, but still pretty cool shots :D
