They are not an audi part - try a recaro specialist.

They look cool! How are they for comfort?

They must weigh about half what the standard Recaros weigh (which are 30kg+ each)!

Good point... how much do they weigh? I cant expect they would be very comfy though on long drives...

Wow... gross weight 7KG!! That is a HUUGE saving. Got me thinking now...

See here:

Can we have confirmation what the standard S4 recarros w/ electric adjustment weigh?

The only thing I can confirm is that the RS4 Recaros are less comfortable than a prostate check. :assflash:

I am sure they are more than 7kg once you include the subframes......good to see some of you chaps are getting the idea about weight affecting performance rather than just bhp.....the force of the "Leichtbau" appears strong on RS246 :)
2000 B5 S4 facelift, sadly missed...enjoying the 2005 A2 TDi Special Edition though!

I weighed my (standard S4) Recaros before fitting them and although I forget the exact weight they were ~ 30kg each. All in all the rear seats, front seats and door cards were 115kg.

They aren't that comfortable. They hold you in well, but I suggest you buy a lumbar support to go with them, if they do them for that model

They aren't that comfortable.
Having had the OEM RS4 recaros for over 5 years, I actually find the pole positions more comfortable :?

I was stuck in traffic for over 4 hours coming back from Bradford and I got out of the car with no aches and pains (I usually get mild cramp in my legs after 2 hours driving, due to my height).

I too was concerned about the apparent lack of padding, but they seem to mold to the shape of your back perfectly.

If you want the genuine audi ones they are expensive. You can get the Recaro Furious (the same with cheap cloth) and get them retrimmed and it will be a lot cheaper. This is what I am doing to get the black and blue alcantara to match on a couple of cars.

I got rid of standard recaros so I can get the buckets just to hold me in on corners.
