pads
Just got a quote from the stealer for a new set of pads only (NOT fitted).
The price was £244.08
Does this sound about right?

RE: pads
I have the ceramics on mine and they quoted me £520 for new front pads, so to me that sounds good!!!

I would hope not!!
But knowing my luck something will go wrong with them which is not covered under warranty!!!

Aparently you can get Audi consumables much cheaper in the states (not least because of the exchange rate). Could be useful if you happened to be making a trip over....

No - it's a complete rip off!
Try Vagparts, GSF, and others - should be around the £160 mark

Sounds about right for stealer prices for front and rears. BMW are the biggest con-artists when it comes to pads. I was quoted £500 to fit front and rear pads (inc parts) on my M3 by 3 separate dealers.
Remember the labour charge should be maximum 1 hour...if a decent mechanic is doing it, I would actually say 30-40 minutes. All dealers will try to milk it and charge 2-3 hours labour as it is a big earner for them...which is frankly preposterous. It is worth learning to do it yourself.

Any trackdays ?
Cheers Lee
Trackdays - not yet, but i spend 3 days at the nurburgring for bank holiday, hence the pads question, the current ones still have some meat on them, the new ones will be taken just incase...
The tyres are screwed too, but not putting new boots on it til i get back..
