Loved the Toyos. Very grippy but wear quite quickly (or maybe just the way I drive) ;-)

Just to add my .02 - another vote for the Eagle F1's (GSD3)

Just shod mine with them, always had fantastic, progressive grip out of them from previous cars and in the wet they're the best I've felt on a car (from a road tyre) they shift tons of water (considerably cheaper than pilot2's as well)

(oh, and one more thing....the tread pattern looks SO good, you'll want to park it with the wheels turned...  )

Add £15 per boot for fitting in almost stations.
Quattrosteph, that's pretty steep!
I pay £5 for fitting a tyre but £8-£10 is more typical I admit (inc valve/balancing).
I use Selly Oak Tyres in Bham (0121 471 4702), they take care not to damage wheels and they supplied me and fitted carefully my Dunlops for only £3 more than they were at mytyres.co.uk unfitted.

I am on my second set of of Michelin PS2's - these came as recommended via this forum some time ago and they have been brilliant in all weathers and all conditions and uses.

Example...the traction control very very rarely kicks in using the PS2's whereas on previous tyres it was always flickering away when the car was booted. As a result I always turned it off after starting the car...now I've noneed to bother. This must, surely, show how much grip these tyres have?

I expect your all go urggggg now but bought mine with bridgestone Potenza's on and done over 20k and still loads of tred left. yes a little noisey and I had to fix a puncture but good grip IMO and superb in the mud, snow, water. ( it doubles up as a tractor you see) I live in the cuds!!

Ok i know you'll all say no good for track days etc but hey I might even even replace with the same but possibly not for another 15k !! :)

im runnning ps2 s and am very happy with em ! no point in being tight and scimping on tires as they the most important componant on any car ! so an extra £ 80 a set over the other brands must be worth it ! your running an rs4 and there never going to be cheap to maintain !

Many people seem to forget that your car (and life) depends on those four black things on each corner...but more importantly on the grip offered by a small patch of rubber about the size of a handprint.

Have to say it depends on what wheels you have. my personal view is that the PS2's were very good on 18's, bot the contis are better on 19's. As already stated, no point in economising when it comes to tyres.

Recent poll showed hands down victory for the GSD3 Eagle F1's FAR AND ABOVE others. The nearest tyre had 1/3 the number of votes and below that it was about a 5th of the number of votes.

Some may argue its cause thats what everyone uses and they dont know any better... well if it aint broke dont fit it. I love the F1's - relatively quiet, good wear and great in the wet.

How do they compare price-wise to the existing GSD3's? I can't see them listed on My Tyres.

Tried many but would advise PS2 every time for the std 18's..

As said above Costco do a buy 3, get 1 free and I think Kwikfit have a similair deal on michilen at the minute (25% OFF).

should work out at £600 (ish) for the full set

About the same price. They seem to be replacing the F1 GSD's with Excellence for smaller wheels and F1 ASM for large wheels
