Rabbit Run 2007

Post by RSVI » Mon Apr 23, 2007 9:25 pm

Right, weekend just gone we had the "Rabbit Run".

I say "we" as there were 3 of us Rs boys. They'll be posting here soon ;)

http://www.rabbit-run.co.uk/

Fantastic weekend and as soon as the footage comes out we can show you some fantastic roads! !

All i can say is

What a car! ! !

Had the RS6 5 months and this weekend was the first time Ive really driven it the way it was designed to be driven.

The "Rabbit Run" was organised by some really great guys and they did a fantastic job doing it.

Anyway, although it's not late I'm ready for bed so I'll be back with more of a story when i can.

I'll also let Daryl (djcevo) or Elliot (B9Boy) tell you what car beat the other 28 cars.

The "other" cars like the 3 Ferrari 340's, Porsche GT3, Aston Vanquish and 2 AM V8's and TVR plus more..........

;)

Catch you soon.

Oh yer, faster than this too by 20 Min's. (I'm talking 300 miles, not 0-60 ;) )

Not really worked out the costs yet in total, something I'll be doing soon. The entry was £2250 based on two people and inc euro crossing 5* hotels and other bonus bits.

Fantastic weekend and great people that went. I'll be there next year (fingers crossed)

That was the best weekend ever!!!! "Well apart from when I met my girlfriend obviously"

As Adam (RSVI) said, what a superb weekend. Met a load of petrol heads that only had good things to say about each others cars (none of this "my car is better than yours etc etc) it was a weekend of comparing similar cars RS's and Porsches then watching the SLR disappear into the horizon :) - no chance with that one. Visited a gorgeous 5* Château and got slightly inebriated every night.

Had 5 laps round the Nurburgring in my car and a lap in the ring taxi OHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYY GODDDDD...... What an experience that was, sideways at 110mph....

Adam & Matt - Top blokes. Apart from one car, everyone one drove relatively sensibly (bloody fast) but very few moments when you thought you were in any trouble.

Was taken out in the SLR that was with us (thank you Tim) that was awesome.

Down to the nitty gritty... WELL DONE TO THE RS6 driven by the above mentioned Adam & Matt, hat off to you old bean. Found out yesterday that we come in 5th place in the RS4, so good call to the RS family I feel.

We are def doing it again next year; hope to see a few more of RS246 owners.

The Std Daytona grey 450 bhp Audi RS6 made in Germany of course!

Next year it could be a bit more than 450 bhp though ;) sorry Darryl :D

(50 or 75 bhp jets of nitrous oxide?........... agh well, a year to make my mind up :D )

I knew you would get the remap when you realised that the RS4 was slightly quicker than the RS6's

On a serious note, If I hadnt of had mine remapped they would have been identical, it was def worth the $$$ getting it done just for that.....

I did think the AMV8 would have been quicker than what it was, wasnt that quick, but man what a sound track that played

If you do get it mapped for next year I will have to take desperate measures...................Steal the SLR from Tim's garage collection.
