Tow bar for an RS2

Post by RS2_freak » Tue Apr 24, 2007 2:39 pm

Hi,

After dreaming of owning an RS2 since I first saw a new one, I recently laid my hands on a RHD M reg example in RS Blue.

I need to fit a tow bar and am after a removable one. Anyone here have one fitted and what make would you recommend?

Thanks and best wishes,
Neal

Hi Neal,

Congrats on the recent purchase!

I can highly recommend speaking to Watling Towbars.

My car came fitted with one of their removable units. It's very discreet
when not fitted, and very well made/engineered.

Good luck.

Hi Neal,
Welcome!
I highly UN recommend the Watling garden gate/angle iron old crap!
I bought one sent it straight back! rang the MD and gave him a piece of my mind! Utter rubbish! I told him the only car worth fitting it to was 15 year old metro!

Get a genuine one, nothing else will do.

Just so you know, if you get an OEM towbar and connect it into the cars electrics it'll switch the car in to low boost mode.
