Passenger seat airbag
Passenger seat airbag
Anyone know how you can turn this airbag off please.
Fed up with having to re-set it (sometimes after several attempts and much seat jiggling) every time I carry a front seat passenger.
Cheers

RE: Passenger seat airbag
Resitance too high in ignitor for passenger seat airbag.
RE: Passenger seat airbag
Cable tie the airbag connector under the seat.
RE: Passenger seat airbag
Do you mean tie the plug into the socket or the whole lot to the underside of the seat?

Mine has come up with exactly the same problem over the weekend too!
Fault code 01218, resistance too high in passenger seat trigger unit, intermittent.
Have cleared it a few times now and it managed to stay off for a day or so by tapping the back of the seat lightly. So I may suspect a dodgy connection somewhere. If not, looking like a new trigger unit/airbag assembly for the seat!
Another item to the list of bits needed from main stealer...

There are 2 tools you need in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it moves and it should'nt, use the Duct Tape
If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40

RE: Passenger seat airbag
I wouldn't worry too much, mine does this virtually every time someone sits in the seat.
I find a bit of wiggling of the Yellow wire under the seat usually cures it.
Had a good wiggle yesterday and the missus sat in the car operating the laptop tonight and it stayed off.

might go and find myself some nice blonde to tag along with me everywhere then in the hope of keeping the light out!
mind you, would be nicer looking at her then than looking at a small round red light on the dash..
