ZONDA ??? maybe

Post by Joules » Tue Jun 17, 2003 8:34 am

Wow!!

Took the lanes on the way back from my Brothers last night to be met by something very similar if not a Zonda.

I foolishly thought Arr! maybe I can aggravate this guy into giving me a demo. Silly me, he needed no prompting and I was short of at least 250BHP....

Jesus .... that thing can move!! not worth trying to describe what it went like but it was bl**dy awesome as to was the exhaust note....

Ahhh ... I can dream

Any ideas what it was if not a Zonda...here is a description which is based on my ability to maintain eye contact.

Zonda/Mac F1 front end i.e. screen and low front
Zonda side profile
No rear centre exhaust like Zonda??
Some script like writing in a diagonal on the rear RHS

It is not an Enzo, Zonda or F1 ... as far as I could tell??

Sounds like it could be a Kit Car, maybe a XTR2 from westfield, or MK Engineering?

From your description Joules, then it could have been either a Koenigsegg, or the new Saleen.

I'm not having a go at kits !! but we are talking £298000 for the Zonda and loads for the F1....

Nothing wrong with Kits and there are some that really kick ass

The Koenig looks incredible , whats the spec engine wise?

The Foreman on the other hand looks awful IMHO.

Well the GD Lola T70 is a replica of a sixties supercar T70 Spyder, ok here ares the tech bit:

The Chassis is a Tubular Spaceframe panelled in NS4 Aluminium, and will take any V8 of your choice, the one you see above is a Chevy V8 with 485BHP, but due to the weight factor, its probably more like 650+bhp. And it only costs £22k if you dont mind turning your hand and building it, or from the factory £30k.
Not bad for a super car that will take on Koenigsegg and give it a run for its money!

The one wesee above ???
Did you forget to post the link, or were you talking about the Foreman ?
If the latter then you are mistaken as I'm pretty sure the P4 is a replica of the Ferrari

One of these days I'll get around to building the GTD40 I've promised myself
