Yes but its absolutely useless whether it works or not, as all it does is power the fan and circulate warm air, so has very little cooling effect to the cabin.

I thought that too. Not like the "REST" button on Mercs and modern top end VAG cars where the climate control keeps running and reuses the cool air from the aircon and acutally maintains the cabin temperature for up to half an hour after the engine is turned off.

To be honest, the clear glass sunroof option is far more valuable than the solar one.
At least it does what it says on the tin :)

Actually I believe the solar roof can be turned on or off, I think you press the recirulation air con button before
switching the engine off. I agree 'cooling' does not work fantastically - but it does make a noticeable difference.

I'd order one again..

I've asksed this before ... but still dont get it .... how do you know its actually working ? What are the settings to get it working i.e. does the car have to be locked, or do you have to press the recirc button, do the vents need to be open etc.

Works for me, but in order to benefit from it on hot days make sure the rear passenger vents are open so the air circulates.....I also initially had the problem of windscreen condensation which was rectified by York Audi when they fitted a replacement temp switch, a problem which is well documented by Audi and known of by most dealers.... 8)
