RS4 vs WRX through traffic

Post by don » Wed Apr 18, 2007 9:59 am

Just showed up on our local Ozaudi site thanks to Phorte.

Excellent footage from Brazil.. some serious balls there

Not sure if you guys have seen it but definitely worth the watch if you haven't.

What was the other car that joined in at 7 mins or so. Another RS4 maybe?

What ever it was it seems quicker than the Subaru.

There were a few "cor f**k me" moments there...one about 2½ mins in with the pickup truck. I reckon the RS4 driver needs a bit of tuition, he wasn't smooth..look at the way the car was jigging and diving..perhaps it needs new shocks (and ARB's). Good video though.

Agreed Derdle. I "think" the car that joined the chase was a V8 S6 going by small badge on left hand side and what looked briefly like Avus wheels. Gave me the *hits when it appeared. Wasn't expecting that. Wonder if the scooby driver saw it coming - i doubt it if he was - should have been watching the road ahead. RS4 outgunned him quite easily on acceleration though - as it should. :assflash:

Was thinking through most of that - I hope he's got a brake upgrade or he's going to get fade at the wrong time. Maybe that's one of the reasons he was so erratic!

Thought the great roads/chase looked like something out of Grand Turismo :)

Roads were sweet as a nut weren't they, imagine that on a motorbike at dusk ;)

Niiiice

Have to agree - RS4 was the quicker car on acceleration but the scooby driver seemed either much better/quicker, or simply knew the road significantly better (which is what the RS4's issue was by the looks of it he may not have known the road as well at those speeds I reckon)

The scooby was a very well set up car, way better than the rs4 in this clip.
Superb footage. Terrible people. G

Gread video!

I think the RS4 could do with some PSS9's to get that edge!

yes.. you can see it getting extremely unsteady at the back on occassions and the body role is frightening.

I wonder if ESP works at that sort of speed??? Anyone tried it??

Certainly, a firmer spring and damper rate is needed for that sort of driving.

I'd say it was a B5 S4 that joined the race - too small to be an S6.
