Well I've done about 300 miles, back road and motorway and I have to say I am very impressed, even the wife loves her. In black it is very discreet, those that know know and those that don't, think it is an ordinary A4. Fuel consumption seems similiar to the S4 and the torque is much better than I remember from before which is a big bonus...so far a good call.

Hi Nat. Hope you are doing well and enjoying the car? I ended up doing the business on the RS4 instead of the RS6. Pleased so far.....

Andy - I checked the oil when I got it and topped it up and all the gromets are there. Any idea where the oil filter is? The S4 has it under this cover...but ont on the RS4..?

The oil filter is a disposable paper element, housed inside the black nylon cover. It is "hidden" under the rearmost carbon cover (the one with the 4 rings), and is off-centre, nearest the coolant expansion bottle. To access the oil filter, you need to remove the support bracket for the carbon cover.

To reduce spillage, only slacken the oil filter housing after draining the oil from the sump.
