Cheers Yorkie, just need to convince my bro that it makes sense shouldn't be a problem though.
Then it's on to trying to make sense of how it all works but i reckon Grahams4 will post a few tips in next few days judging from the for sale/ wanted adds!!

Doh I'm busted!

Managed a fault scan, airbag light reset, logged a few engine blocks (sufficient for a FATS time) etc all within half hour of borrowing someone elses cable, so the basics look fairly simple. I should have my own on the way though......

It is pretty easy to pick up the basics as it is such a well designed bit of software. Not sure what you are planning to put it on but mine works fine with Windows Vista.

I wouldn't rush to upgrade to Vista, although Vag-Com seems to work fine it has had a problem with just about everything else I've tried to load.

Yeah i have heard a few conflicting reports about vista, but i guess it will all come out in the wash.

Thats the one I've got. At least it's future proof for a while...

Yeah i figured that if we were spending £100 each then another £30 seemed a no brainer, plus we both intend to stay with VAG cars in the future.
How do you get on with it Mark, is it quite user friendly?
