contacting dealers for specific of servicing?

Post by s4seeker » Mon Mar 26, 2007 10:35 pm

Anyone tried contacting dealers from your service schedule to find out what exactly was changed/done at the service? Are they able to/willing to do this?
I have recently bought a S3 and have the service book but very little reciepts etc to say exactly what was done - ticky box thing is not particularly clear in service book.
what do you think?
thanks
Paul

Good luck!

The last two services I have has on my company S4 both came back with the service book untouched by human hands... The first time I drove back to the garage and got a rubber stamp for my troubles, the second time I just didn't bother

My attitiude will be different with my own car, but I'm afraid my service experience is well short of previous cars (even the French and Italian ones!)

Paul, like you, when I bought my car the service history book was fully stamped. BUT the owner had hardly any bills, invoices etc for the work done.

So I contacted the stealerships who had serviced the car.

Some of them were able to send writen proof of work done but only if the previous owner wrote to em. But the previous owner did not return any of my calls or txts (w*nker). But all the stealers were able to tell me over the phone what was done, what wasn't done and some even told me how much was paid for the work (the amount of money the previous owner spent on the car was shocking!!).

So, yup, call around Paul
01 RS4, Milltek, Dahlback Racing rears, RS6 fronts and a few bits to be added.

Also, as I hate driving, my toy to play with - a Honda CBR F Sport
