Upgrading BOSE headunit to Becker Head Unit
This one http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/becker- ... afe9a6aabf (no sat nav) the unit sounds great and i think good value for money too.
Yep ... sorry for asking, just looked at yr original post.... doh..
I just fancy a sat nav too... single din fitting, but I think I will probably go the route as you.....
if I stick nearly a grand in the dash ... some monkey will have it out of there ...... just fed up of listening to the same audio system for 6yrs now..... different s4's but same same poo-poo....
I was looking today ... almost tempted ....

I'll get you a pic on Tuesday, to be honest I think all the Beckers look the same and I don't even bother taking the face off mine, it just looks like an Audi one to the uneducated.
Have a look at the range www.becker.de

I got the Becker Grand Prix, re-wired with ox-free cables, front & rear infinity components, front dont sound too clever compared to the rears, but they all sound much clearer driven by the unit.
Only thing I got is getting it to receive stations okay, i got the power to the aerial in the iso loom okay, did you have any issues sorting out reception power to the set....?

Mine sits flush, think i managed to push it in further than i was 'supposed' to. It's a shame the facia inserts are so poor, i was going to make my own, but don't have the time!
The becker is well worth the upgrade, especially with the iPod and handsfree bluetooth.
Will try to take pics, right now I've lost my camera charger!

I swapped the switched and continuous feeds as required, got a spare iso adapter, took 2 conectors out and plugged them into the original speaker connectors(as front fed only fron s/plug), then got some fat oxy. free s/wire an took it to the infinity components f&r, only thing is the front speakers are not enclosed properly and sound crap, its something i need to sort .. soon.. I got the plastic converter rings, which have all the correct fitting angles, mdf may sit a bit wierd, due to the angles on the door cards, need to deaden the doors and thinking of some small boxes....?
Otherwise the bluetooth is v.handy, sound quality is great, just waiting for my in-line ariel booster and ipod/cd changer, mp3s are nice though ...losing the fading dash is no great loss....!
