My car on ebay

Post by LHD » Sat Feb 17, 2007 11:29 am

Shame it's time for her to go, I'm just doing too many motorway miles for a car like this. Something with a diesel engine beckons :x

Here's link to my ebay ad in case anyone's interested

If she doesn't sell then it's off the dealer for a trade in.

Is she still for sale?

Let me know if she is still for sale, as I'm thinking of buying one.

Sadly the car is sold. I won't even begin to tell you all the hassle I had with people trying to take it off me for peanuts, timewasters and other assorted dreamers.

In the end the car went for well in excess of what some people had offered me (had insulting offers around the 7K mark) and as guide for other people selling RS2's I reckon a well sorted example will achieve around 9 grand if you are prepared to wait. When I see others selling their cars cheaper I reckon they must either be desperate or not mind throwing money away.

That said it's a buyers market as always but you can rest assured that an honest car with recent expenditure in the right colour is going to eventually find someone decent to buy it at the right price.

Just a shame for me she's now gone

Prices

I am glad you managed to get a decent price. The prices I am seeing are generally a touch higher than 9k, so I am assuming that there is a big range between asking price and sale price.

I reckon around 9 grand will get you a very nice LHD RS2, what I would say is that you'll be better steering clear of any dealer that has one and looking for a car that was owned by a forum member here or over on the s2forum.

Whenever a car comes up there is usually some sort of chit chat about it so keep your eyes peeled.
