ARBs

Post by GrahamS4 » Mon Mar 12, 2007 11:28 am

Are there any other options for ARBs other than H&R?

The way I keep hearing that H&R ARBs transform the cars handling I am thinking this is going to be my next must have mod.

I like to go in with my eyes open and having made a considered choice, so have I any other choices ARB wise?

I am thinking of like or lesser priced products, nothing more expensive.

cheers

Looking over State side they mostly only upgrade the rear bar. Rear H&R's can be bought seperately, as can other makes.

Funny thing is, I think the Eibach bar is front only! Can't see that working!

I thought the GmbH upgrade for the RS4 was a thicker REAR arb made by Eibach ???

Graham - The H&R ARBs are well worth the cash. Just crack on and buy them

It's a thicker rear bar (17mm) but I didn't know it was made by Eibach. The GmbH springs are Eibach, I know that much!

Are the ARB's off the B5 RS4 an option? (I don't know if they are any thicker than the S4 ARB's)

Such an awesome upgrade... well worth the money. I was shocked at just how flat the car cornered... sadly I have the coilovers and ARB's done at the same time - would have liked to have them done separately to see what each did, but speaking to Doug and others... its mainly the ARB's that make the difference. The car turns in, stays flat, & the tighter you turn the more the car turns in. Defies the "normal" quattro experience.

H&R ones I think are as good as they get... think Phil Walker can do them for a reasonable price (290ish all in?)

Sold: A4 (B5) 2.8 Quattro | Ivory Pearl

No they are the same, unless you can get your hands on a GmbH rear bar off an RS.

Graham, I have on order something that might meet your needs... I'll post more details when it arrives
