My guess is that it should work (as it's a CD, not DVD), but that it will be in German - but it can't be that hard to figure out left and right when it's on the display anyway!

Tend not to us the volume anyway.

Should only be the voice in German i think, anyway, for a few pounds it doesn't matter too much.

I'll put it back on if no good and get what i can.

Thinking about it, i could lend it out to other 246 members when they go to Germany, along with the French one i got a few weeks ago.

Yes - why not set up a simple loan system - say £10/week on a first come, first served basis. That way you could gradually build up your stock.

Or better still, how about 246.com act as the agent, renting out other people's CD's (say at £10/week as before), but say £7 goes to the CD owner, and £3 to RS246 for operating the service. (Owner pays p&p to send, renter pays postage on return?). How about it Phil??

Since it would all work through the forum, it should be fairly easy to "name and shame" defaulters, or to spot a user who had just signed up for the privilege.

Just a thought

Presume the "lol" was at the "german", not at the rental idea!!

Anyone else think this would work - anyone got some continental CD's (for RNS-D) or (DVD's for the RNS-E) that you'd be prepared to "rent out"??

Rent????

Lend with a deposit ;)

Don't think renting would be an option via the site.

I would be happy to lend mine out though with a deposit and donation ;)

Does anyone want to buy the CD as it doesn't work :(

Must be for newer Audi cars.

Does it definately "not work" - or is the unit telling you that you are currently "off the map" - in german??
