Turbo technicals

Post by Dippy » Wed Feb 21, 2007 1:58 pm

There seems to be a lot of talk going on about the possibilities of upgrading to different turbos, and I have to be honest I'm left in the dark. I guess I know the difference between K03s and K04s, but that's really about it.

Anyone fancy explaining the differences between available turbos in more detail?

Yup. Cuz I don't even really know the real differences between K03 and K04's - only that K04's are more reliable and more powerful!

Also, as I hate driving, my toy to play with - a Honda CBR F Sport

It's all about size and flow. and of course money.

The larger they are the more air they flow so the more power they can produced.

That's the point I'm making. The K04 has larger ports and turbine than a K03 so it can flow more gas. That's easy. But I keep seeing references to special versions of the K04 and I'd like to learn more about the differences.
