Anyone had a Lidatek Laser Jammer fitted to their S4? Any comments on performance or advice about the best place for the Laser head behind the grille....

Got an LRC-100 on mine... its unplugged currently ... fitted it under the number plate.. in the lower grill,
BrettC has same unit .... they do give you early warning,
but I dont want to stop an ask the piggy if his gun went funny ...? showing an error code ..? .. holding that smugg smile waiting for his reply as I start the engine.....

All sounds good however with the Lidatek LE-30 and similar devices although they are not currently against the Law you do run a risk.
Laser Jammers and the Law

There is no law as yet regarding the purchase of a Laser Jammer or the fitting of one on a motor vehicle. (as of April 2006) However the first arrest was made in February 2003 regarding the use of a Laser Jammer. The person was arrested for "Perverting the course of Justice" nothing really came of it in court.
This offence is very serious and carries 7 years in Jail. It is normally used to deal with people that are caught out telling lies to get away with something or gain something without actually going to court and perjuring themselves in the witness box.
Usually, the offence used to deal with interfering with speed trap readings or the speed traps themselves, such as large notices before the trap advertising its position and it is in operation, would be 'Obstruction of Police in execution of duty'.
I would imagine that because this chap was deemed to be actively employing a system to purposefully demonstrate his ability to avoid prosecution, that the officer stopping him, used the offence of Perverting Justice to justify his arrest. Obstruction of Police has no power of arrest unless it is used in conjunction with the General Power under Sect 25 PACE 1984
Perverting Justice is an indictable offence (Crown Court only and very expensive).
Obstruction of Police is a visit to the Magistrates Court only and is much cheaper.
That is why I think the Laser Park Pro, basically a garage door / drive gate opening device that also 'protects' would be a better option for me, as I have an electrically operated garage door and this would provide me with total immunity should an officer/constabulary choose to present a case against me.
If I was using a device that was specificaly designed and developed with the sole purpose of making Police laser speed guns inoperable, there would be not much point in even hiring a breif, would there?

A few weeks ago, Sunday night, Dual carriageway, no traffic, my Lidatek fired (which it NEVER does without GOOD REASON) and alerted me to my excessive speed. I braked to reduce my speed during the few seconds the Lidatek is firing [before it stops and 30 seconds later resets], then I spotted the police car in the distance parked on a bridge over my road.
I also have a seperate detector which went off at the same time to warn me that I was being targeted by a Laser. It would appear the Officer failed to get an illeagal speed reading from my car as I never received "the letter".

I have the pro park fitted - will post a picture. I have no electric garage opener - yet, but I do carry the instruction manual in the car. The big benefit of the pro park is that it is sold and marketed as a parking aid, and that is its primary purpose, it doubles up a garage door opening initiator and what a terrible shame, it also works on the same frequency as police laser guns (904Nm I think). So it is not sold as a laser jammer.
It is also one of only a few devices that still shows a zero speed when the laser gun is used in stealth mode and it does not trigger an error code (which the Police log) but it ensures that speed is recorded as zero mph.

Rob do you have 2 sensors for the pro park, i.e. one for the rear and one for the front of the car?
