Now I have mine, LOL , I would add a plate I have RS04 ??? Have a look at DVLA

Also my car has a sun roof so the interior is bright despite the black head lineing ...

Buckets are cool, unless you are big framed .... I now have a technique to get out of them when parked in my garage.

I also have an RS 04 xxx plate - only cost £499 from the DVLA.

Also got the sunroof (not the solar one), and with the silver headlining as well the interior is a nice bright place to be (not the usual Audi coal cellar at all).

Well many thanks to all - plenty of views to consider...

I'm now totally happy with Carbon Fibre and Privacy Glass, and have Sports Suspension Plus to look into

Seems like there are solutions to the iPod problem, so order CD Changer for now and tweak on delivery

Seats - as before - are the biggest question. In case this is news to anyone, Audi will provide memory to the RS4 Recaros - I have this from their Customer Service Dept. It's an extra cost (and I didn't ask the amount since I was heading for the buckets) but maybe I'll switch...

Thanks again

Well done Dom81. Here's a preview of what's to come... all but the suspension. I'll add a few more when I have more time. Have to shoot off to the theatre now!

Thanks for the pic - fist time I've actually seen privacy on Daytona and very glad I went for it

They look like PZero Rosso to me - if I squint really hard I can see a red flash. Are they, and if so are they standard? Only ask because the demo car I last drove had Conti Sport Contact 3s, and I find that the Contis are very susceptible to sidewall damage. Certainly the Contact 2s on my S4 have a band of rubber that stands proud of the wheel and will pull a chunk of tyre out as soon as look at a kerb. Never had this problem with PZeros on previous cars. There again, the Contact 3s didn't appear to have such a lip...

Must stress that I'm not the kerber, but there's an occasional one in the house

To think what could have been!

Actually didn't want one personal to me (not into the MRB1G thing...) so went for something appropriate to the car

I've the PZero's and yes, they were standard. Have seen a few RS4's with them. Perhaps certain tyres are fitted for the road conditions of the countries they are sold in? Anyone have any ideas on this?

Are'nt the 'bands of rubber' there to help kerbing damage to the rim? I had these on my Michelin's fitted to my 911 and yes, they do 'rip' off with the slightest hit. And they did'nt exactly help the rim either.

Glad the photos have shown you the combination with the privacy glass and Daytona. It looks fantastic together, particularly in the sun (when there is some). I've recieved a lot of compliments on the colour too. I never actually saw an Avant in Daytona when I ordered the car, so it was a bit of a gamble. In fact, I never even saw one until I picked the car up either!

It was a painful wait too! I was away in Australia for three months. The car was ready to be collected on the 22nd of December and I did'nt get back to London until the 22nd of January! I've never wanted a holiday to be over early!!

Interesting about the varied choice of tyres - I guess I'll just have to wait and see

Agree that the rubber band is there to stop the kerbing, and agree that it fails dismally in this respect...

Hell of a long holiday BTW - 3 months and I'd be glad to get back to a nice new car!
