I didn't even ask. I'm getting them from Elite now so I'm not bothered. To be honest I'd rather not drive all the way down there anyway - it was OK when I was working in Basingstoke.

Nope - I'm at the one based near Thatcham - they only do mobile phones.

Toyos now fitted, but it'll be a few days before I can get out and test them

However a serious for Elite. They were very professional, courteous and efficient. I thought that Micheldever were good on these qualities, but not compared to Elite.

Just bought 4 T1-S from Elite Reading for £105.75 each fully inclusive. Good service/good price.
Bushy, cheaper than Micheldelver (£109.90) and much more convenient for me.

Even just driving home through town they feel better than my Pilot Sports, but they were sh@gged. Looking forward on running them in tomorrow on a long journey and seeing what they're really like.

The tyres that came off had a 91Y rating and the new ones 95W.

So the new one has a higher load rating, but is only rated to 167mph instead of 186mph .

I assume the higher load rating is a good thing without any negatives.

David.

David,

I had the same tyres before too. Are you sure your Toyos are 95W? I could have sworn mine are 94.

Anyway you're right - A higher load rating means a tougher tyre, and the lower speed rating doesn't matter unless you're Bushy

I've been giving my tyres some serious stick and they've not let me down - they seem to grip where I'm sure the Michelins would have squealed (I think you remember that right?).

Remember to take it a bit easy with the tyres initially - they need the smooth surface taken off before they will really do their job.

Hi Dave,

Too dark to check the tyres now, but the invoice definitely says 95W.

Nice gentle 250 mile motorway trip tomorrow should run them in nicely

Screaming Michelins. I remember! And you seem such a sensible chap.....

Ditto! My invoice showed 95W but the tyre-wall is definitely 94W. Elite's database is clearly buggered
