any ideas for second car ?
must be auto, preferably estate and reliable .

about £5000 mark or cheeper would be nice.

Scooby NA... bomb proof, but not the best looking, quickest OR economical. Certainly a reliable run around though.

B5 A4's you could probably pickup around that mark... diesel be too much or high mileage, but you could get a basic 1.8 for that, maybe even a 1.8t.

Passat another option?

Um... thats about it I think?

was thinking of maybe a volvo t5 !

what are your thoughts ? i`v seen the odd one with a fair bit of power with a few mods.

It's the one the police use (though their's were manual) and that they raced a few years back in the Saloon Cars series.

Has to go to make room in the garage!

A4 or A6 2.5tdi 1998-2001 100k+miles around £5000 40mpg rapid too

I must admit I am running/smoking around in a 2000 A6 2.5 tdi 2wd, with "tune it" box on it. The traction light is flashing a bit.

Had a 2001 A4 2.5 tdi 2wd a few months earlier slightly better on fuel maybe a bit quicker, sold it with 150,000 miles on it.

Prefer the A6

I would like to say thats because you're an old man, but to be fair, seeing you on that moto cycle at the Banbury meet prevents me from doing so, I'd have the A6 as well then

No David you are right, I find myself going for the comfort route more often.

Bit like a few moths back I had a E30 M3 here to sell, went for a good spin in it was not as good as I remembered back in 1987. Same could be said for my first girl friend, great fun when you are 18.

Tend to be drawn to good cooks etc rather than raging nymphos now.
