Hi Folks, continuing to right all that is wrong in my new-to-me 2000 B5 S4.
It has BOSE and the driver side rear (parcel shelf) speaker buzzes at certain frequencies (low bass) - not so much when it's loud - rather at certain sounds. It's the only speaker that buzzes; all others are fine.
A couple of questions...
i) How do I get the cover off the speaker? Doesn't seem to want to lift off and can't see that it's possible from underneath?
ii) Can I just buy a OEM replacement from Audi? I don't want to upgrade the stereo or anything - I actually think it sounds really good - I just don't want the speaker to buzz!
From what I can tell it's very secure in its location - not loose at all so I'm wondering if the cone is split or something?
All suggestions greatly received!

sounds like a dead speaker, not sure how to remove it as my S4 is an avant and speakers are in a different place. I can say that in all previous cars the speakers are removed from the top, so its most likely you will need to remove the grill and then tehre are probably 4 or 5 securing screws.

i think you have to remove the parcel shelf and then unscrew the speaker from the bottom

to get the speaker out, go in the boot and disconnect the hi level brake light from underneath.
Drop the back seats and pry the leading edge of the shelf up with your hands, once that's up, slide the shelf forwards.
At this point you'll see the speaker and the screws to get it out, torx mounts it to a frame, and philips mounts it to the shelf.
My speaker is buzzing too, and I did this today!

Is it worth trying to swap left to right to see if it's the speaker at fault or an amp fault?
