Hi guys,

Im staying over the night before Darryl as its a long drive from Lancashire so defo up for a beer or two on the Friday night.

Im fairly sure with an RS4 you aint gonna get left behind (although Id be tempted to get the 155 limiter taken off!!) Im going to get mine chipped b4 the event and throw the limiter in the bin.

Regards tactics I reckon youve been watching too many episodes of Wacky Races Adam although if we chain the 3 cars together side by side then how on earth would they get past us?!??? I reckon that we should at least have a plan.

p.s watched a re-run of Top Gear the other night where Clarkson raced to Oslo. He said that at top speed the thing empties a 20 galoon tank in 19 minutes- I reckon he'll spend so much time in the petrol station we could smoke him in a diesel 106!! :)

Ive got the feeling that its gonna be a minter!

Dozy me, fogot to mention that the car he raced to Oslo was a McLaren SLR.

We stand a chance though I reckon - The Ferrai boys will crash, Astons will break down which leaves 911 Turbos to worry about. I reckon a BMW 535d would be a great car for the run. 155mph plus 40mpg so youre not stopping for fuel.

Elliott,

Yep. too much wacky races for me :D

Mines going to be stock still in April so it will be nice to compare the two on the road. Unless of course i find a few grand and get to the 500+ done ;)

I think the best tactic we have is the suttle design of the RS4 and RS6. That should help us from getting pulled by Mr plod. Maybe some dodgy looking French plates would help even more ;) (that was a joke, but thinking about it........................)

See you both in the bar on the Friday night.

Right boys, not long now (mum's the word on the date ;) )

Have you got things ready?

I've got a pair of walkie talkies for our own private chat, have either of you got a pair coz we're going to need one more?

Did you end up getting yours remaped Elliott? I'm still playing with the idea :D

Who was the one getting the oil slick components together? ;)

Catch you all soon, Don't forget Audi to give the car a once over before.

Hi Adam,

Think we should get some walkie talkies (75% off!! Invaluable I feel) lol!! Really looking forward to it, what approx mileage do you get from a tank out of interest??

http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... sc&start=0

This was an example of not the best MPG.

77 Ltrs and 225 miles......Mmmmmm.....13.28 Mpg

Try and get the best (distance) walkie talkie you can.

75% Off? ? ?
