Removed in car toytown compressor and attempted to fit it onto the valve...bloody thread corroded to buggery!!!
I refused to pay and insisted that it was claimed on the corrosion warranty for all new.

P.S. Highly reccomend RAC tyre insurance for RS6 tyres, it was £50 through Barclaycard for a year. Money well spent in my experience (paid a £10 excess for a £250 tyre with side wall damage)

Steve,
struggled to find this but did eventually at

https://www.policyreg.com/barclaycard/default.htm

followed through the form all badged as RAC the last page after handing over CC details said it is now AA warranty!!

Not worried by this but all the other tyre insurances I found were offering AA insurance at £99.00 per annum.

so anyone else who is interested best get it whilst you can at this price.

Regards

Mark

Looks like they chop and change around with the RAC, currently warranty, breakdown & inspection "on offer" as such.

Well worth it, even at £100 as its almost a certainty; either bad luck or bad driving but over the last three years I've worked my way through 5 tyres with side wall damage, sods law that its usually a new tyre that I've damaged.

Can you successfully claim these feckin valves under warranty ? Is it under some sort of corrosion warranty or under the Mondial Audi warranty that people have made successful claims. My dealer says its not covered but think they are just being too lazy !

Mine were done under the goodwill of the dealer (Camberley, Surrey) as they are not covered on a 3 year plus car.

If you have a good dealer then they should do it. If they look after you, you in return will keep using them and then they will in theory get there money back for the tyre valves.

Tell them to do it as other RS6 owners have had them done under the goodwill of the dealer.

Which dealer are you referring to?

Dulwich Audi. To be fair, their service and customer care has been very good, they went out of their way a couple of weeks ago to come and collect my car, and replace with a courtesy car, for a mis-diagnosed fault. Car is booked in again for next week, so will let you know how I get on.
