Water leak?

Post by Dippy » Thu May 29, 2003 9:26 am

I had a scare this morning. After parking my car I saw a clear line of water drips leading across the carpark to my car. I also noticed some drip marks near the entrance.

Looking under my car I could see a pool of water where there is normally one in my garage. I have always assumed that it condensation from the air-con. However this is the first time that I've seen such an obvious trail of drips.

Does anyone else get the same from their car?

Hi Dave,

Not really noticed it on the S4, but on a previous A4 actually had someone stop me in the street to tell me I had water leaking from the car. Worried me for a few minutes, but it was only evaportation from the aircon.

Quite hot a humid today so maybe that is why you are getting more than usual.

It's normal Dippy, don't worry.

If you are in a queue of traffic behind a car with air con, let it go and look at the water it has left.

The more humid the weather the more condensation the system produces.

Funny... Had the same thing happen the other day at the Shell station. Guy tells me my car is leaking.... Put it down to the aircon and forgot about it.

Dippy, just been talking to a mate who must live just up the road from you (he has a real smart MkI golf and a VR6 corrado).

Aparently you gave him a test drive a while back up the dual carriageway from Coral reef, and he nearly cr@pped himself
Also turns out he knows the salesman who is selling me an RS4.
