Radio Says "Tim 2h" when I turn ignition off and r

Really odd...

Since MRC had the motor out and I got the car back, when I turn the ignition off, instead of the radio just turning off it goes quiet and the display says "Tim 2h" then turns off.

Any idea what this is?

Think it's normal. 2 hour timer.

no... even after a 1 min journey. The two hour thing normally only shows up in the DIS not on the head unit...

On mine it shows up on the head unit (Concert). It means that the radio will run
for 2h without the key in before auto switching off.

It is related to the Traffic Announcements apparently. Somesthing about when you get in the car it has recorded the previous two hours of Traffic announcements. Found it on a MKV golf forum. Now how the heck do I turn it off

Yeah, if I remember right you can set it to record announcements for the next 2 hours. you can also get it to wake up for a couple of hours in the morning and a couple in the evening, so it's got a few reports of traffic already by the time you set off to work or come home...

I think you turn the stereo off, then back on holding the TA button in, then scroll the options. This is where the GALA function is, not sure about your issue.

with the radio on hold down the TP button for a while - It will switch off
