Excellant results guys, and good to hear the cooling is spot on

If you need extra power then like Steve says a FMIC is a cracking way to get it - although not sure if you guys do suffer heat soak much if your max intake temp was 51. Any thoughts guys?

Andy, i was thinking the heat soak may be worse on the S3/TT seeing as it has smaller intercoolers. Are the RS4 ones positioned further back into the bumper? I do know the're positioned in a different angle (from observing Bushys and Thorneys)

Not sure if they are further back or not mate, but 51 temp seems pretty cool to me. I need bigger intercoolers, water injection and all sorts of ice and fans to get near that

Without the water injection, the last RR I had at AmD saw the ECU back off at 78 intake temp and 529bhp@6600rpm with clutch slip (I take that as a good sign, although I am aware that I am stupid )

Re the FMIC, all i know is that all the Audi ones are pretty small and compact (although efficient), even the Sportec ones on mine combined are only 65% of the core area of an OEM Skyline R33 V-spec. Leads me to believe we could all do with an FMIC, as some of those R33's with uprated IC's are punching out 750 to 800bhp with no heatsoak whatsoever - lucky twats

yes the intercoolers seem to be generally OK on the Audis.

A collegue has a 200sx and he's been fiddling (removed cats, free flow exhaust, modded air filter etc). He put it on the rollers at power engineering and they quoted about 265 bhp and a <beep> 220lb ish torque IIRC. Turns out he's maxed out his single bigger intercooler so he's going for a front mount jobbie.
