My cars gonna be on TV!! Anyone else up for the Rabbit Run?

Post by B9Boy » Fri Jan 12, 2007 6:38 pm

Hi,

I was watching Men and Motors TV last night and stumbled accross a programme called Rabbit Run which is basically a version of the Gumball 3000 but run on a points system where you have to chase a rabbit car that sets off before you and you get points for beating the rabbit to the checkpoint etc etc.

This years takes in a run to the Nurburgring including karting comps and a run around the Nordschliefe. Sounds like a hoot so Im well up for it- plus you get to get on tellie!!!!!

Theres one more space left - anyone else up for it, we cant just have 1 car for an Audi showing?!!!

Hello Rabbit,

I spoke to Craig yesterday afternoon about it all. Ive reserved my space and he was getting the office to send out the necessary paperwork and some DVD's of the previous events so thanks for that. It sounds like a blast!!

p.s what are you gonna be driving this year?

If "TheRabbit" is the rabbit then it's a 320 diesel. :D

Don't underestimate it though.

Hi Adam,

You booked then? You replaced the broken vase i take it?

If so thats great news! Ive booked and cant wait, it should be a complete blast!!! I reckon that rabbit though is gonna be tough to beat. While we are hoofing it down the autobahns doing 9mpg and filling up every 5 minutes to catch it he'll just sit there in his diesel doing 45 mpg and get there and back on one tan

All booked and looking forward to it. (just got to drop the £ off)

It just so happens they're 10 Min's from me so I went to meet them and picked up the Dvds of past runs.

I met both Craig and Jon and they are nice down to earth guys.

Did you get the DVDs? They make the wait even worse, i feel sorry for the ones that have done previous trips and know what's in store.
They're all waiting 12 months where we're just waiting 3.

Catch you then if not before :D

See you both there

I think us Audi owners should talk tactics.

The 3 of us should have our own walkie talkie channel and work as a team.

I've got a pair of walkie's if you two have some bring them along and we'll tune them into the same channel.

"Team 246, move left and block the SLR, Over!"

"Movement made team leader, waiting for next command!"

"light smoke screen and drop oil slick! ! ! "

Team 246 to win!

Do you think we could get a sponsorship from the RS246. :D

A Tank of petrol each for advertising the forum ;) (if that's a yes, I'm going to get a 300 ltr tank for the weekend :D :D )
