I was pretty happy mate. Still stings though.

Added the Girlfriend which made the price dip a touch.

just got a new quote from tesco's again and it has dropped to £1044! i cant beleive it, been told that they are only doing it so cheap just to get the customers then they will put the premiums up later, but hey, who cares! i'll just find somewhere cheaper next year!! i kept seeing those bloody elephant.co.uk adverts on telly, so i thought i'd have a laugh and give them a try.. £900 quid!! now what i'll do is see if tesco's can match or even beat them.. if they can then i'll see if elephant can beat that coz i had to put my best quote in, should be free soon with any luck!! I've been with Elephant for 4 years now, first with an unmodded S4 and now with my RS4 with MTM 420 upgrade. No premium loading and pay £ 675 for me and my partner with full Class 1 business use. OK I live in the sticks and I'm just the right side of 50 with full NCD etc.

When I had a TT Elephant doubled my premuim for adding a Milltek, but they had no issues with on the RS6. Go figure?

I have the insurance assesor coming out to my RS4 next week. I am insured with direct line and need to get the ding mended see thread "what a load of <beep>". I have thus far contacted them informing them of the damage and got a qute from Cotswold Panels (a great spray shop of my choice) to get the work done.

£250 quid excess and i loose two years no claims as the fecker did not leave any details. Not too bad a deal as I have 6 years NCB, which will be reduced to 4 Years. However, Direct Line offer maximum NCB at 5 Years so should only increase next premium by 15%. Car needs a new door and quite a bit of paint, will report back when it is done as to how good direct line were.

The Good news is that the spray shop are ace, they did all the work on one of my last cars. This is of course always half the battle.

Just adding other cars onto NU Prestige policy, and have got track day cover @ £101 per day for RS and £79 for Clio for upto 5 days p.a. Cover was slightly more than the cheapest, but its the service that counts (especially with the RS) and fingers crossed I won't need it.

Was recently with Direct Line, originally approx £500.00, and at renewal, (after some mods), premium jumped to over £1000.00.

Spoke to Paul at Dazeleys as recommended on this forum. Paul was great, and gave a verbal quote of £540.00. I go to renew, and Paul is on holiday, and the staff at Dazeleys won't honour Paul's quote. Now premium has jumped to £685.00. NOT HAPPY.

Contacted Green Light, and staff there know their S4's and mods. Just renewed with Green Light at £600.00 with mods noted on schedule for like-for-like cover. Optional trackday cover also available.

Dazeleys nil - Green Light one.

Give Green Light a go at your next renewal.

Sounds very unlike my experience rsdreamer.

Noel Dazely saved me £900 this year compared to my Liverpool Victoria renewal, and my house insurance was cheaper than what Halifax quoted me.

I pay 1100 protected 6yrs ncb with greenlight with all mods declared & they insure mods like for like & will pay out on the estimated value of the vehicle in the event of write-off based on all the mods too.

I was paying 1650 with testo w/ 5 years nbc protected.

Greenlight certainly the best I have come across so far - and I went through stacks.

Adrian Flux are looking the best for me, under £500 so I'm probably going to go with that...
