What criteria did Quattro GMBH apply to the fitting of tyres. Pirellis on some contis on others all within a couple of weeks of one another.
I don't find my conti's particularly loud and the wet grip seems pretty good. Not that I've managed to find a long enough set of twisties to really get them working hard enough to tell. Sunday drivers

Unfortunately, for any business, its what was available/cheapest at the time from their Preferred Supplier Agreements. Luck of the draw on new cars in many respects on OEM parts.

I recently tried Toyo Proxes T1-R on my S4 B5 and they were as good as MPS2, but much much cheaper.

They're very quiet and very sticky both in the wet & dry. It also has high treadwear rating 280.

These will def be my next set of tires. I can't wait to dump my factory fitted conti's on my RS4 B7.

I have had the Contis & PZeros. Reading some tyre tests which I think my experience would bear out I would say that in terms of ultimate grip the Contis have it but the PZeros feel better for the driver. My Contis were going to last no more than 12000. When I change again I will probably try Michelin.

My PZeros only lasted 9000 miles, I've switched to PS2's.

There's slightly less feel but not a lot, and the road noise is much reduced.

From what I've read here and elsewhere the PZeros have the shortest life, the PS2's are the current favourite, the Contis don't have many fans and the Goodyear F1's are only just becoming available in extra load Assymetric size for the RS4 so no real feedback yet.
