AUto door locking

Post by RSVI » Thu Jan 04, 2007 11:08 am

Car's in today at Camberley Audi. (RS6)

Can they program the doors to lock automatically when the car starts moving and if so is this something that is chargeable?

Going to phone them today to ask but wanted to know from you guys what was involved first.

Don't want.......

"yes sir, we can do that. It'll cost you £98 + vat"

And then you tell me it's something i can do or it's a 5 Min's job and it shouldn't cost much if anything at all.

Thanks in advance

It's a 5 minute job (literally) using VAG-COM.

Some dealers charge for doing it, some don't.

VW wanted £70 and vat for doing it on the wifes Passat then £35 for each additional change made at the same time. buy a Vag-com. i enabled the auto locking, auto unlocking and confirm beeps for both unlock and lock so that's £175 plus vat at stealer prices, makes a Vag-com an absolute bargain.
