Well spend all day at the dealers fixing an a8 tv system for them then turned my attention to my RS6 tv system. We took it out and found no connections on the rear or anywhere for that matter!!! It would seem that the multipin connector on the rear of the tuner is how you get video into the unit but having looked at the wiring diagrams audi only list the pins they use and not the unconnected one's This takes me back to square one again. What I need is a break out lead for this as someone must know the pin outs/in for this connector. Am trying other companies for help on this, any clues? I really thought this was going to be an easy one!! Have the pins for the head unit but this is no use as the tuner is connected to this and it would mess the system up to break into this connection

Kind Regards

Mike

Can I connect a DVD player for a Sat Nav without the TV module?
Mikey, that connection is for RS6 or any Sat Nav?

Im going to get the Audi Sat Nav+ and TV in my next car and will also be looking to hook up a dvd player, but im going to go down a different route and buy a proper portable dvd player and just hook it in the car when i need it, power can either come off its rechargable batteries or the lighter socket. I think its better this way because you can just leave the svhs/rgb wire in the boot when not used or you can plug in one of those little spy camera`s

My whole Sat nav and Tv is retrofitted. It is ridiculously expensive. My wive got the Sat Nav only, hence I am looking for a TV installation myself. I have found Tv and DVD players with a single monitor for 1000 AUD so I think it is the way to go.I think someone (Phil T?) has an alpine system in their RS4.

Hi guys, been meaning to sign up here for a while but kept getting side tracked.
Anyway re the DVD system: Ive fitted a Pioneer DVD Sat Nav system to my S3 and looks the dogs nads if i do say so myself. I can a TV tuner if and whenever i need to. Its linked to a 12 Disc changer in the boot and a hidden DAB radio. Runs from the BOSE amp and speakers and sounds very very crisp with plenty of bass. Got some pics of it too somewhere if anyone wants to see it.
